Product Description:

The 990-08-XX-02-05 Vibration Transmitter is intended primarily for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to their machinery control system.The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from our 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options).

Centrifugal Air Compressors:Monitoring fluid-film bearings for radial vibration and shaft stability.
Small Pumps & Process Pumps:Continuous condition monitoring of high-speed water feed pumps, hydrocarbon pumps, and chemical process pumps.
Industrial Fans and Blowers:Monitoring unbalance, misalignment, and structural looseness on primary air fans, induced-draft (ID) fans, and forced-draft (FD) fans.
Electric Motors & Small Steam Turbines: Bearing housing and rotor dynamic verification.

Q:Which proximity probes are compatible with this transmitter?
A:It is engineered to accept input from one non-contacting 3300 NSv proximity probe and its corresponding extension cable. This combination allows installation in confined spaces with minimal clearance.
Q:What is the required gap distance between the probe and target?
A:The probe must be physically gapped between 0.5 mm and 1.75 mm (20 to 55 mils) from the target surface to maintain linear full-scale performance.

Q:Does the transmitter feature a startup delay?
A:Yes, it includes a Power-up Inhibit Circuit. After receiving power, the loop output stays under 3.6 mA for 2 to 3 seconds. This suppresses signal errors caused by initial line voltage transients.
