Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330905-00-07-05-01-00 is a 3300 NSv Proximity Probe, which forms a vital part of the Bently Nevada 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. This specific system is for tight installation constraints and small target surfaces, specifically optimizing condition monitoring on fluid-filmed bearing machinery. The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada’s previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable. The NSv probe has increased chemical resistance compared to the 3300 RAM probe, which allows its use in many process compressor applications. The side-view characteristics of the 3300 NSv probe are also superior to those of the 3000-series 190 probe when gapping the 3300 NSv probe at the same distance from the probe target.

Q:What are the mechanical limitations when threading this probe?
A:Maximum thread engagement lengths should follow the industry standard of 1.5 times the nominal thread diameter. For an M10 thread, excessive engagement lengths can lead to physical binding during a tight install. Bently Nevada explicitly excludes failures or damage caused by excessive thread engagement lengths from warranty replacements.
Q:What older legacy systems can this probe replace?
A:The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System serves as a drop-in replacement for legacy 3300 RAM setups as well as old 3000-series or 7000-series 190 systems. Upgrading a 190 system requires changing out the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor simultaneously.
Q:Can I extend the 0.5-metre cable with any standard extension cable?
A:No, the extension cable must match the exact tuning specifications of the Proximitor Sensor. Because this probe is configured with a 0.5-metre total length, it must be combined with a dedicated 3300 NSv extension cable to achieve a total system length of either 5.0 metres or 7.0 metres. Mixing it with standard 3300 XL 8 mm cables will alter the electrical length and degrade measurement accuracy.
