Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330905-00-24-05-01-CN is a 3300 NSv proximity probe for high-precision eddy-current displacement and vibration monitoring in confined industrial environments. It is specifically built for applications where small target sizes or tight installation spaces limit the use of standard-sized proximity probes.The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).
Application:
Counterbore Openings: Successfully mounts inside narrow, deeply drilled machine counterbores where a standard probe would read the side walls instead of the target.
Thrust Bearing Pads: Fits seamlessly into thin gaps between thrust pads to record direct axial thrust position.
Side-view or Rear-view Constraints: Avoids unwanted metallic interference when surrounded by surrounding machinery structures.
Tachometer Readings: Counting notches or gear teeth on downsized rotors to read zero-speed or operating RPM.

A:The NSv (Narrow System vibration) probe features a smaller tip and optimized magnetic field. It is ideal for measuring targets with restricted side views, rear views, or small-diameter shafts where side-wall proximity would cause cross-talk or measurement errors on standard probes.
Q:Can I use this probe with a standard 3300 XL Proximitor sensor?
A:No. The NSv probe has distinct electrical and impedance characteristics. It must be paired exclusively with a matching 3300 NSv Proximitor Sensor or a compatible Bently Nevada 990 Vibration Transmitter to work correctly.
Q:What is the target gap voltage for calibrating this probe?
A:The ideal target gap voltage is -10 VDC. This centers the sensor perfectly within its linear range for reliable peak-to-peak vibration tracking.
