Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330130-070-03-CN is a 7.0-meter armored extension cable with a connector protector belonging to the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System. It functions as a critical link to transmit high-fidelity, low-noise vibration signals from an eddy current probe to a Proximitor sensor.The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

Oil & Gas Refineries: Used heavily on upstream and downstream machinery where hazardous area certifications (ATEX, IECEx, CSA) are mandatory.

Q:Is this cable backward compatible with older systems?
A:Yes. The 3300 XL series extension cables are backward compatible with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm proximity transducer system components. However, utilizing a mix of XL and non-XL components can slightly reduce the maximum performance specifications compared to an all-XL system.
Q:Can I use silicone tape near the connector on this specific cable?
A:No. If the cable connection is placed near turbine oil, silicone tape is not recommended. The tape can break down when exposed to certain oils; alternative connector protection methods should be deployed in oil-rich environments.
Q:What target material is required for accurate calibration?
A:The underlying 3300 XL transducer system is strictly calibrated to an AISI 4140 steel target. Connecting this cable to a sensor targeting any other metal will skew the accuracy, change the linear range, and invalidate standard calibration metrics
