Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330101-00-25-10-01-05 is a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe to measure static position and dynamic vibration on fluid-film bearing machines.The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.

Centrifugal Compressors: Tracks vital shaft movements in high-speed gas compressors to maintain seal integrity and prevent stall conditions.
Pipeline Pumps: Monitors large crude oil and refined product pumps across vast transport networks to ensure mechanical reliability.
Gas and Steam Turbines: Operates within high-temperature, critical energy-generation infrastructure to detect bearing degradation early.
Main Steam Turbines: Protects massive base-load generators by monitoring critical bearing clearances and shaft thermal growth.

Q:Does this probe require an extension cable?
A:Yes, it requires a 4-metre extension cable to create a standard 5-metre total system length, or an 8-metre extension cable if pairing with a 9-metre Proximitor Sensor. The 1.0-metre cable on this probe cannot connect directly to a proximity sensor alone unless it is a specialized 1-metre system.
Q:What target material is this system calibrated to?
A:By default, the 3300 XL system is factory-calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. If your machine shaft uses a different metal alloy, the scale factor will shift, requiring custom calibration or a correction factor.
Q:Can I mix this probe with older, non-XL 3300 components?
A:Yes, they are physically and electrically interchangeable. However, if you mix this 3300 XL probe with a non-XL extension cable or older Proximitor Sensor, your overall system performance defaults down to the lower specifications of the older non-XL line.
