Description

The Bently Nevada 330901-05-45-05-11-05 is a 3300 XL NSv proximity probe designed for use as part of the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. The complete system consists of a 3300 NSv probe, a 3300 NSv extension cable, and a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor® Sensor. It is intended for rotating machinery with restricted installation space, including applications where counterbore, side-view, or rear-view limitations make conventional proximity probes difficult to install. This configuration features a 1/4-28 UNF threaded probe without stainless-steel armor, a 0.5-inch unthreaded length, a 4.5-inch overall case length, a Miniature ClickLoc™ coaxial connector with connector protector and standard cable, and Multiple Approvals for hazardous-area applications. The patented TipLoc™ molding provides a durable bond between the probe tip and probe body, while the CableLoc™ cable retention design improves pull strength and enhances long-term mechanical reliability. Gold-plated ClickLoc connectors help maintain a secure electrical connection and reduce the possibility of connector loosening caused by vibration. When installed with a compatible 3300 NSv extension cable and 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor, the 330901-05-45-05-11-05 delivers accurate non-contact measurement of shaft vibration, shaft position, radial displacement, and Keyphasor® reference signals.

Application areas

• Small Fluid-Film Bearing Machines – Used on rotating equipment with shaft diameters smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or where the available target surface is limited. The NSv system is optimized for applications that cannot accommodate standard 5 mm or 8 mm proximity transducers because of space restrictions.
• Axial Thrust Position Monitoring – Installed on rotating machines with flat thrust targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). The probe provides continuous axial position measurements that help verify thrust bearing performance and detect excessive shaft movement during operation.
• Tachometer and Zero-Speed Detection – Used to generate rotational speed and zero-speed signals for turbines, compressors, and other critical rotating equipment. These signals are used by machinery protection and control systems during startup, shutdown, and normal operating conditions.
