Product Description:

The 990-05-50-03-00 Vibration Transmitter is intended primarily for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to their machinery control system. The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from our 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options).

Application:

Power Generation: Deployed on balance-of-plant (BOP) machinery such as boiler feed pumps and small forced-draft fans.
Water & Wastewater Treatment: Protects continuous-duty water lift pumps, aeration blowers, and high-pressure filtration systems.
Chemical & Petrochemical Processing: Ideal for raw material feed pumps and compact pneumatic delivery systems where reliable asset protection is critical.
Oil & Gas (Downstream & Midstream): Used for auxiliary pumps and small air compressors on refining blocks and transport pipelines.

Q: Which proximity probes are compatible with this transmitter?
A:This device is designed exclusively to work with the Bently Nevada 3300 NSv (Narrow Side View) non-contacting proximity probe and its matching extension cables. Because the 3300 NSv probe has a highly compact design, this combination is ideally suited for installations in tight spaces with minimal side clearance.
Q:Does it include an onboard Proximitor sensor?
A:Yes. The 990 transmitter features an integrated Proximitor sensor directly built into the housing. You do not need to buy or wire an external Proximitor unit; the 3300 NSv probe extension cable plugs directly into the transmitter's coaxial port.

Q:Can I extract raw dynamic data for diagnostic analysis?
A:Yes. For field troubleshooting, the unit provides non-isolated "PROX OUT" and "COM" coaxial terminals. You can connect portable machinery diagnostic equipment or an oscilloscope to these terminals to view raw gap voltage and real-time dynamic vibration waveforms
