Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 9200-06-05-03-00 is a dual-wire moving-coil seismic probe velocity sensor used to measure the absolute vibration of housings, structures, or bearing pedestals. The Bently Nevada seismic probe velocity sensor system is designed to measure the absolute vibration of bearing pedestals, housings, or structures relative to free space. This dual-wire system consists of the sensor and its matching cable. The seismic probe series velocity sensors utilize dual-wire moving-coil technology, and their output voltage is proportional to the vibration velocity of the sensor.
Application:
Steam and Gas Turbines: Monitors structural case vibrations and bearing housings to detect misalignment, unbalance, or rotor friction.
Generators: Measures casing stability and structural resonance while the unit is synchronized to the grid.
Large Cooling Fans: Tracks health across cooling towers where low frequencies (down to 10 Hz) are prevalent.
Large Water Supply Pumps: Placed on horizontal and vertical pumps to log steady-state vibration metrics.
