Part of the Bently Nevada Proximity Transducer System, it leverages advanced eddy current sensor technology to perform high-precision vibration, speed, and gap measurements on critical equipment.The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).

Q:Can I connect this probe directly to an extension cable of any length?

A:No. You must choose an extension cable such that the combined length of the probe cable and extension cable exactly equals the total length rated for your Proximitor Sensor (typically 5.0 or 7.0 meters system length). Since this probe has a 0.5-meter cable, you would need a 4.5-meter extension cable for a 5.0-meter system.
Q:What material is the probe tip and case made from?
A:The probe tip is constructed from durable Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) plastic to resist chemical degradation. The threaded case is manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel.

Q:What are the basic electrical properties of this sensor?
A:The system utilizes eddy current technology. When connected to its matching extension cable and 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor, it features an incremental scale factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) and a normal linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils).
