The Bently Nevada 330908-00-90-05-02-05 is a 3300 XL NSv Proximity Probe, which is for high-precision, non-contact machinery condition monitoring in restricted spaces. It targets critical, small-scale, or tightly packaged industrial machinery where side-view clearance is limited or the measurement shaft target is exceptionally small.The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System design allows it to replace both the 3300 RAM Transducer Systems and the 3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducer System.

Q:What target material is it calibrated to out of the box?

A:By default from the factory, the system is calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. If your rotating machine shaft or target area uses a different alloy, custom calibration must be specified or adjusted on the monitoring side to prevent scale factor errors.
Q:What are the cable connection features?
A:The probe incorporates a ClickLoc gold-plated brass connector that locks into place to prevent accidental loosening from heavy machine vibration. Additionally, the patented CableLoc design provides up to 220 N (50 lb) of pull strength directly at the probe-to-cable junction to prevent internal breakage.

Q:Is this probe compatible with older Bently Nevada hardware?
A:Yes. The 3300 NSv probe series maintains full electrical and mechanical compatibility with legacy 3300 RAM Transducer Systems. It can directly replace older RAM setups using the existing monitoring system. However, if upgrading from very old 3000-series or 7000-series 190 systems, you must replace the entire loop.
