Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330905-00-14-05-01-CN is a specialized metric 3300 NSv Proximity Probe for non-contact vibration and position monitoring in highly confined industrial areas. It utilizes an M10 x 1 thread without armor, a 140 mm overall case length, and complies with local industrial standards denoted by the -CN certification. The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System design allows it to replace both the 3300 RAM Transducer Systems and the 3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducer System.
Application:
Centrifugal and Axial Air Compressors: Extensively integrated by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) into compact, packaged plant air systems where tight internal casing clearances restrict sensor deployment.
Industrial Refrigeration Compressors: Employed in large-scale industrial chilling loops, chemical plant HVAC systems, and cold storage units where compact bearing dimensions are mandatory.
Process Gas Compressors: Frequently deployed in oil refineries and petrochemical facilities to capture shaft displacement safely while handling volatile hydrocarbons.
Small-Frame Turbines & Expanders: Protects auxiliary power generation units, small steam or hydro turbines, and gas expanders by tracking critical rotor dynamics.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q:What is the primary purpose of an NSv probe over standard 5mm or 8mm models?
A:The NSv (Narrow Side-view) family is engineered specifically for applications with tight physical packaging or side-wall restrictions. “The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems.”, as noted by Baker Hughes. It avoids unwanted metallic interference from the sides of narrow machine counterbores or housing walls.
Q:What are the baseline electrical specifications?
A:The sensor works on an eddy current sensing principle. It transmits a low-power radio frequency signal via the proximitor to track real-time target distance. It features an output impedance of 50 Ω and outputs a standard scale factor of 200 mV/mil (7.87 V/mm) when paired with an AISI 4140 steel target surface.
Q:Which proximitor sensor and extension cables are compatible?
A:The probe must be connected exclusively to a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor and its matching NSv extension cable. Mixing standard 3300 XL 5 mm or 8 mm system parts with NSv components will cause significant cross-talk, calibration failures, and incorrect readings.
