Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330880-16-15-060-01-02 is part of the PROXPAC XL series, an integrated proximity transducer assembly used for condition monitoring and machinery protection in heavy industrial sectors. The design of the PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer Assembly is similar to our 31000/32000 Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies. The assembly offers the same advantages and features as the 31000 and 32000 housings for accessing and externally adjusting proximity probes. However, the housing cover of the PROXPAC XL Assembly also contains its own 3300 XL Proximitor sensor. This design makes the PROXPAC XL Assembly a completely self-contained proximity probe system, and eliminates the need for an extension cable between the probe and its associated Proximitor sensor. It also eliminates the need for a separate Proximitor housing, as the field wiring connects directly between the monitors and PROXPAC XL Assemblies.

Q:Is this housing rugged enough for harsh environments?
A:Yes. The PROXPAC XL body is molded from high-performance Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) embedded with glass and conductive fibers. This makes the outer assembly highly resistant to impact, chemical corrosion, and environmental ingress, with an engineering rating of Type 4X / IP66.
Q:How far away can the field monitor be placed?
A:You can run a 3-conductor shielded triad cable up to a maximum distance of 305 meters (1,000 feet) from the internal sensor terminals directly to your continuous monitoring rack.
Q:What target material is this system calibrated for out of the box?
A:The sensor is calibrated by default to AISI 4140 steel targets. If your rotating machine shaft or target area is composed of a different alloy, the output scale factor will shift, requiring custom factory calibration or monitoring system adjustment.
