Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330750-40-05 is a High Temperature Velomitor System (HTVS) designed primarily for casing-mounted vibration monitoring on heavy industrial rotating machinery operating in extreme heat environments. Because its unique design segregates the piezoelectric sensing head from the delicate signal conditioning electronics via a hardline cable, it is specifically targeted at high-temperature applications where standard vibration sensors would fail.The 330750 High Temperature Velomitor System sensor head and integral cable are designed for high temperature environments. This enables you to mount the sensing head on surfaces with temperatures up to +400°C (+752°F).
Application:
Steam Turbines: Monitoring absolute casing vibration on hot sections and exhaust hoods.
Gas Turbines: Mounted directly onto turbine housings, combustor casings, and bearing housings exposed to extreme thermal radiation
Hot Process Pumps: Tracking vibration on heavy-duty hydrocarbon pumps handling hot fluids.
Centrifugal Compressors: Casing and bearing housing monitoring in high-pressure gas loops.

Q:Can I detach the 4-meter cable to route it through conduits?
A:No. The cable is an integral, permanently connected hardline cable. It cannot be detached or spliced. Uncoupling the connection destroys the system and voids factory calibrations. To install it in tight conduit channels, you must route the entire cable from one end during setup.
Q:What is the maximum distance I can run the extension wiring?
A:While the integral hardline cable is exactly 4 meters, you can extend the output signal wiring from the electronics box up to a maximum of 305 meters (1,000 feet) back to your control rack without suffering any signal degradation.
Q:Why does this sensor have a separate cable and box design?
A:Standard velocity sensors (like the 330500 Velomitor) house their electronic signal conditioning directly within the sensor head. Because electronics degrade quickly above 121°C (250°F), the 330750 segregates the core sensing element from the electronics. They are permanently joined via a rugged hardline cable so the electronics box can be mounted safely in a cooler, remote location.
