Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330704-000-060-50-12-00 is an industrial-grade 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe featuring an M14 x 1.5 metric thread and integrated armor protection. It uses non-contact eddy-current technology to measure static position (thrust) and dynamic shaft vibration in critical rotating machinery like turbines and compressors. The 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System has a 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) output for non-contacting vibration and displacement measurements on fluid film bearing machines. The large 11 mm tip enables this transducer system to have a longer linear range compared to our standard 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System.

Centrifugal and Axial Compressors: Tracks heavy shaft movements under variable aerodynamic loads.

Q:Can I calibrate this probe to a target material other than steel?
A:The factory-calibrated standard target material is AISI 4140 steel. While it will detect other conductive metals, utilizing alternative targets will alter the voltage output slope and decrease system measurement accuracy unless the matching Proximitor is custom-calibrated.
Q:Does this probe require an extension cable?
A:It depends on your overall transducer layout. Because this model contains a 5.0-metre total cable, it can connect directly to a 5.0-metre rated Proximitor Sensor without an extension cable. If using a 9.0-metre system configuration, a 4.0-metre 3300 XL extension cable must be added.
Q:What is the purpose of the 11 mm probe compared to an 8 mm probe?
A:The 11 mm probe tip provides a wider linear range (4.0 mm) compared to standard 8 mm probes (2.0 mm). This makes it optimal for measuring large axial changes, such as thrust position and differential expansion on massive turbine rotors.
