Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330525-10 Velomitor XA Piezo-velocity Sensor is a ruggedized version of Bently Nevada's 330500 Velomitor Sensor. Its 316L stainless steel case and unique, weatherproof connector and cable assembly permit mounting without a housing. The Velomitor XA Sensor cable assembly is suitable for use in moist environments, and the Velomitor XA Sensor design meets the requirements of IP-65 and NEMA 4X dust ratings when properly installed with a mating extension cable.

Oil & Gas Processing: Deployed on offshore production platforms, refining units, and gas transport pipelines to monitor critical feed pumps and compressors where hazardous area ratings are legally mandated.
Power Generation: Used in thermal and hydroelectric plants on auxiliary balance-of-plant (BOP) equipment like cooling water pumps, draft fans, and localized steam/hydro turbine casings.
Chemical & Petrochemical Manufacturing: Monitors corrosive and moist areas like fertilizer production blocks and polymer processing loops.
Mining & Heavy Metals: Ideal for shaker screens, crushers, and ore-processing centrifuges exposed to massive shock loads and abrasive dust.

A:The 330525 is a loop-powered, two-wire system. It requires a DC source voltage between 22 and 30 VDC and a continuous constant current restricted to 2.5 to 6 mA (typically supplied automatically by a [Bently Nevada 3500 Monitoring System](0.5.17, 0.5.28) seismic card).
Q:What is the polarity behavior of the 2-pin connector?
A:The sensor features a 2-pin MIL-C-26482 hermetically sealed connector. When the physical motion of the machine casing moves toward the sensor connector, Pin A becomes positive relative to Pin B.
Q:What is the recommended mounting torque?
A:To guarantee accurate vibration transfer through the base without damaging the internal crystal element, tighten the sensor to a maximum torque of 45 N-m (33 ft-lb).
