Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 330500-08-01 Velomitor Piezo-Velocity Sensor is a dedicated Velomitor piezo-velocity sensor designed for absolute housing vibration monitoring of heavy-duty industrial rotating machinery. It provides critical predictive maintenance data to prevent catastrophic equipment failures. The Bently Nevada Velomitor piezo-velocity sensor measures absolute (relative to free space) vibrations of bearing housings, housings, or structures. The 330500 is a dedicated piezo-accelerometer with a solid-state design and integrated electronics.

Application:

Pumps: Monitors cavitation, bearing degradation, and misalignment in high-pressure water, chemical, or oil pumps.
Centrifugal & Axial Compressors: Tracks high-speed rotor stability and housing imbalances in gas processing plants.
Electric Motors: Evaluates mechanical imbalances, loose rotor bars, and bearing wear on large industrial drive motors.
Industrial Fans & Blowers: Measures casing vibration caused by blade fouling, structural resonance, or aerodynamic instability.

A:The sensor requires an external power source of 22 to 30 VDC. It is critical to use a constant current diode (limiting current to 2.5 to 6 mA) to prevent sensor damage. Compatible Bently Nevada monitoring modules supply this automatically.
