Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 330500-05-02 is a rugged Velomitor piezoelectric velocity sensor designed for absolute vibration monitoring in rotating and reciprocating machinery. Bently Nevada™ Velomitor piezoelectric velocity sensors are used to measure absolute vibration (relative to free space) and are suitable for monitoring vibrations in bearing housings, casings, or structures. The 330500 is a dedicated piezoelectric accelerometer with a solid-state design and integrated electronics. Due to its solid-state electronics and lack of moving parts, this sensor is free from mechanical degradation and wear and can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or at any angle.

Application:

Oil & Gas (Upstream & Downstream): Deployed on offshore drilling platforms, refineries, and petrochemical processing plants. It monitors highly critical infrastructure operating continuously within volatile gas atmospheres.
Power Generation: Utilized in both conventional fossil fuel plants and renewable installations to oversee heavy power generation trains
Chemical Processing: Standardized for plants handling corrosive and flammable compounds where ATEX zone integrity cannot be compromised.
Water & Wastewater Treatment: Placed on high-capacity transport infrastructure subject to moisture, demanding long cable runs up to 305 meters (1,000 feet) back to a central PLC

A:To prevent sensor damage and ensure a linear frequency transmission response, it must be torqued tightly to between 32 to 46 kg-cm (24 to 40 in-lb).
Q:What is the maximum recommended cable length?
A:Yes, the solid-state design allows installation at any orientation (vertical, horizontal, or oblique) without losing calibration or performance.

Q:What mating connector does it require?
A:It uses an integrated 2-pin MIL-C-5015 hermetically sealed connector built into a 316L stainless steel shell. When wiring, Pin A becomes positive with respect to Pin B when the casing moves toward the connector.
