Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330500-02-00 is a rugged Velomitor Piezo velocity Sensor designed to measure absolute casing vibration in rotating machinery. It is paired with the Bently Nevada 84661-26, which is a matching 26-foot armored interconnect cable featuring a moisture-resistant female connector and stainless steel armor protection.Because the 330500 incorporates solid-state electronics and has no moving parts, it does not suffer from mechanical degradation and wear, and can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or at any other angle of orientation.

Q:Why use a Velomitor instead of a standard accelerometer?
A:The Velomitor embeds an internal solid-state integration circuit. This means it processes raw acceleration into a velocity-proportional voltage output automatically, removing the need for manual or external tracking system math conversion integration.
Q:Can sudden mechanical shocks trigger false alarms?
A:Yes. A hard physical impact on the machinery casing causes the internal piezoelectric crystal to generate a sudden low-frequency spike. If your monitoring relays are set to respond instantly, this false indicator can trip safety systems unnecessarily. Ensure you configure an appropriate time delay on downstream alarms.
Q:What is the maximum torque allowed during installation?
A:Do not exceed 46 kg-cm (40 in-lb) of tightening torque when securing the M8 thread base adapter to the casing body. Over-tightening will warp the internal crystal mount structure and ruin sensor calibration accuracy.
