Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330500-02-00 Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor paired with the 84661-25 Interconnect Cable is a heavy-duty casing vibration measurement system explicitly engineered for rotating machinery condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.Bently Nevada Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensors are designed to measure absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The 330500 is a specialized piezoelectric accelerometer that incorporates embedded integrated electronics in a solid-state design.

Power Generation: Monitors structural and casing vibrations on steam turbines, gas turbines, and heavy-duty generators to catch imbalances or misalignment early.
Oil & Gas / Petrochemical: Protects large-scale centrifugal compressors, high-pressure process pumps, and cooling tower fans across refineries and offshore platforms.
Water & Wastewater Treatment: Tracks the health of high-volume water distribution pumps and wastewater aeration blowers.

Q:What is the maximum distance I can extend the wiring?
A:The sensor can transmit signals over a maximum total distance of 305 meters (1,000 feet) from the monitor without signal degradation. You can splice the 25-ft cable into longer field wiring via an explosion-proof junction box if necessary.
Q:Why is my sensor reporting false or spiking vibration alerts?
A:A sudden mechanical shock or physical impact can cause the internal integrating electronics to generate a brief, false low-frequency signal. Ensure the unit is guarded from accidental external bumps.
Q:What is the maximum torque requirement for installation?
A:The maximum mounting torque allowed is 46 kg-cm (40 in-lb). Over-tightening can crush or damage the internal piezo-element.
