Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330400-02-CN Accelerometer paired with the 16925-08 Interconnect Cable for critical machinery casing vibration monitoring and gear mesh monitoring in high-stakes heavy industrial environments.These accelerometers are intended for critical machinery applications where casing acceleration measurements are required, such as gear mesh monitoring. It provides an amplitude range of 50 g peak and a sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The 330425 is identical except it provides a larger amplitude range (75 g peak) and a sensitivity of 25 mV/g.
Application:
Power Generation: Monitors casing vibration and bearing degradation on steam turbines, gas turbines, heavy-duty generators, and massive cooling tower fans.
Oil & Gas (Onshore/Offshore): Installed on remote offshore rig sensor networks, subsea extraction systems, and large natural gas pipeline compressors.
Mining & Heavy Industry: Monitors heavy-duty conveyor drives, rock-crushing mills, massive process fans, and high-torque gearboxes prone to structural fatigue.
Petrochemical & Refining: Protects multi-stage process compressors, high-pressure pumps, and expanders from failing due to mechanical unbalance, misalignment, or blade defects.

Q:Where and how should the sensor be mounted?
A:Mount the accelerometer directly onto a rigid surface like a machine casing or bearing housing. For industrial compliance, use an approved mounting base and conduit kit to satisfy API 670 requirements. Ensure proper thread engagement with the M8 stud option.
Q:Why is a shielded cable (16925-08) required?
A:The 3-conductor shielded architecture protects the tiny voltage transmissions (100 mV/g) from electro-magnetic interference (EMI) and industrial noise. This preserves signal integrity over the 8-foot distance to the terminal block.
