Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330194-00-18-10-00 is an extension cable used as a core component of the 3300 XL 8mm Proximity Transducer System. This system is for non-contact vibration and shaft displacement monitoring in critical industrial rotating machinery.The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

Q:Do I need an extension cable for this probe?
A:No, you do not use an extension cable if your total system length matches the probe length. Because this specific probe has a 1.0-meter total length (-10), it is designed to plug directly into a 1-meter system Proximitor Sensor without an intermediate extension cable.
Q:What target material is this probe calibrated for?
A:By default, the matching Bently Nevada Proximitor Sensors are factory-calibrated to target AISI 4140 steel. If your machine shaft or target material consists of a different metal alloy (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum), you will need a custom-calibrated Proximitor sensor to avoid scale factor errors.
Q:Is the armor jacket fluid-tight?
A:The flexible stainless steel armor (AISI 302 or 304 SST) features an outer FEP jacket to safeguard against moisture and chemical tracking. While the Viton O-ring tip design seals differential pressure between the machine case and the probe interior, Bently Nevada explicitly notes that probes are not factory pressure-tested. They should not be used as the primary containment barrier for high-pressure or extreme pH fluids without auxiliary housing.
