The Bently Nevada 330194-00-05-90-00 is a component of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System, specifically configured as an 8 mm proximity probe. These systems use non-contacting eddy current technology to monitor critical rotating machinery, primarily focused on measuring radial vibration, axial position, and speed.The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

Fluid-Film Bearing Machines: The primary application is measuring rotor shaft position and vibration within the clearances of fluid-film bearings.
Steam and Gas Turbines: Ideal for measuring shaft displacement and vibration in harsh environments, including steam turbine "dry end" (DE) settings.
Oil and Gas Infrastructure: Used for reliable vibration monitoring in offshore rigs, refineries, and other hazardous areas where API 670 standards are required.

Since this probe's internal cable spans the full 9.0 meters, it connects directly into a 9.0-meter rated Proximitor Sensor without any intermediate extension cable.
Q:Is this probe interchangeable with older Bently Nevada systems?
A:Yes. The 3300 XL 8 mm probe components are designed to be both physically and electrically interchangeable with non-XL 3300 5 mm and 8 mm components. However, you must always match the total system length (9.0m) to the specific Proximitor sensor rating to prevent calibration distortions.
