Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330171-00-28-10-01-CN is a 3300 series 5 mm eddy current proximity probe for continuous monitoring of critical rotating machinery. It is primarily used to measure shaft vibration, axial position, and rotational movement in high-stress industrial environments.The 3300 5 mm probe improves upon previous designs. A patented TipLoc molding method provides a more robust bond between the probe tip and the probe body. The 3300 5 mm system is orderable with Fluidloc cable options for preventing oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable’s interior.

Q:What is the primary purpose of this 5 mm probe?
A:It measures static position (such as thrust position) and dynamic vibration of rotating machine shafts. It is ideally deployed inside fluid film bearing.
Q:How does the 5 mm probe differ from an 8 mm probe?
A:It shares the same linear range as the 8 mm probe but has a smaller physical body. Use it only when tight space restrictions prevent an 8 mm installation. It does not reduce sideview clearance requirements.
Q:Does it require custom field calibration?
A:No. The probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor are fully interchangeable. This eliminates the need for individual component matching or manual bench calibration.
