Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330171-00-12-10-02-CN is a 3300 5 mm Proximity Probe for measuring rotor shaft position and vibration within machinery monitoring systems.The 3300 5 mm probe improves upon previous designs. A patented TipLoc molding method provides a more robust bond between the probe tip and the probe body. The 3300 5 mm system is orderable with Fluidloc cable options for preventing oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable’s interior.The 3300 5 mm probe and 3300 XL extension cable have corrosion-resistant, gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors.
Application:
Power Generation: Monitors critical steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, and large cooling pumps to prevent catastrophic failures and track thermal growth.
Oil & Gas (Upstream/Downstream): Used on centrifugal compressors, turboexpanders, and multi-stage pumps found in extraction rigs, pipelines, and oil refineries.
Petrochemical & Chemical Processing: Tracks the health of high-speed agitators, mixers, and process gas compressors handling highly volatile or hazardous chemicals.
Water & Wastewater Treatment: Monitors large-scale vertical pumps, aeration blowers, and water distribution turbines.

Q:How does this sensor work?
A:The probe relies on eddy current sensor technology. It provides an output voltage directly proportional to the physical gap distance between the unshielded probe tip and the observed conductive metal surface (such as a rotor shaft).
Q:What is the normal gap voltage for this system?
A:When properly gapped within its linear range, a typical Bently Nevada 3300 series proximity probe system reads a normal gap voltage of approximately −9 V to −11 V DC.
Q:Which systems is this probe compatible with?
A:This probe is fully compatible with Bently Nevada's 3300 XL 8 mm transducer systems and maintains backward compatibility with standard 3300 systems. The components (probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors) are interchangeable without bench calibration.
