Q:Why is the 4.0-meter length critical for system calibration?
A:Proximity sensor systems rely on strict electrical length matching. The system (probe + extension cable) must match the total length required by the Proximitor sensor (usually 5.0 or 9.0 meters total). For example, a 1.0-meter probe cable must pair with a 4.0-meter extension cable to complete a 5.0-meter system. Using an incorrect length will cause severe calibration and measurement errors.

Q:Can I use this cable with older, non-3300 XL hardware?
A:Yes, the 3300 XL 8 mm probes use a built-in Viton® O-ring designed to seal differential pressure between the probe tip and the exterior case.
