Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 330104-00-10-20-12-05 provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements3

Application:

Steam and Gas Turbines: Measures radial vibration, keyphasor/speed reference, and rotor axial (thrust) position to prevent catastrophic housing contact.
Centrifugal and Axial Compressors: Tracks high-speed shaft stability, surge indicators, and thermal growth.
Electric Motors and Generators: Monitors shaft centerline position, eccentricities, and dynamic unbalance within large fluid-film bearings.
Pumps and Gearboxes: Provides continuous machinery protection data to prevent bearing wear and process downtime.

A:No. Standard 3300 XL 8 mm systems are finely tuned to require a strict total electrical length of either 5.0 meters or 9.0 meters. Because this probe is exactly 2.0 meters long, you must use a matching extension cable.

A:Bently Nevada 3300 XL hardware features complete physical and electrical interchangeability. This means you can replace this probe with any other factory-calibrated 3300 XL 8 mm probe of the same total system length without performing a manual recalibration or modifying your monitoring rack

Q:Is the probe tip pressure-sealed?
A:Yes, the 3300 XL 8 mm probes use a built-in Viton® O-ring designed to seal differential pressure between the probe tip and the exterior case. However, Bently Nevada does not pressure-test standard stock probes prior to shipment. If your application requires high-pressure process sealing, a custom-tested variant must be requested.
