Product Description:

The 330130-040-11-05 3300 XL Standard Extension Cable delivers advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

Oil & Gas Processing: Deployed extensively in upstream drilling platforms, midstream pipeline stations, and downstream refineries.
Power Generation: Used on large-scale utility turbines, nuclear or fossil-fuel generators, and auxiliary cooling pumps.

Q:Does this cable require on-site calibration?
A:No. The 3300 XL system components are designed for complete interchangeability. You can replace the extension cable without bench-calibrating or matching it to the existing 8 mm probe or Proximitor sensor.
Q:Can this cable be used with older Bently Nevada systems?
A:Yes. The 3300 XL extension cable is backward compatible and interchangeable with legacy, non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer components.

Q:Should I use silicone tape on the connections?
A:While standard 3300 XL extension cables often include silicone tape for connection protection, Bently Nevada does not recommend silicone tape if the probe-to-extension cable connection will be directly exposed to turbine oil. The integrated connector protector in this specific option provides the necessary shielding.
