The Bently Nevada 330104-06-14-05-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-metre system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard (4th Edition) for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components

Steam Turbines: Installed on generator sets to track high-pressure rotor expansion and bearing housing shifts.
Gas Turbines: Tracks radial vibration and thrust bearing wear during rapid thermal startup cycles.
Hydroelectric Turbines: Mounted on larger generator shafts to monitor slow-speed orbital behavior and structural alignment.
Centrifugal & Reciprocating Compressors: Essential for monitoring critical process gas and pipeline distribution compressors.

Q:What power supply does the system require?
A:The companion Proximitor sensor requires a negative DC power supply ranging between -17.5 Vdc and -26 Vdc. Optimal performance occurs around -24 Vdc.
Q:Can I use this probe alone to get a vibration reading?
A:No. The probe must be connected as a complete transducer system. It requires a compatible 3300 XL extension cable and a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor to output a useable voltage signal (typically 7.87 V/mm or 200 mV/mil). Because this probe is 0.5 meters long, it requires a 4.5-meter extension cable to complete a standard 5-meter system.

Q:What is the linear range of this probe?
A:The 3300 XL 8 mm probe features a standard linear range of 2.0 mm (80 mils), operating between 0.25 mm (10 mils) and 2.3 mm (90 mils) of distance away from the target material.
