Product Description:

The 330103-01-09-50-02-00 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

Steam Turbines: Tracks differential expansion and axial thrust changes as the turbine heats up and cools down.
Hydroelectric Generators: Monitors slow-speed, heavy-rotor radial runout and structural alignment.
Industrial Fans & Blowers: Checks draft fans and cooling tower gearboxes for structural or rotational abnormalities.
Gas Turbines: Measures internal rotor displacement under massive thermal loads.

A:When paired with a matching 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor, the system offers a nominal linear range of 2.0 mm (80 mils) and a standard target sensitivity of 200 mV/mil (7.87 V/mm). From the factory, it is default-calibrated to an AISI 4140 steel target.

A:For radial vibration and basic position tracking, the target gap should be set at the center of the linear range. This corresponds to a gap distance of approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils), which yields an output of -9 Vdc.
