Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330102-12-60-10-02-05 is a metric M10x1 threaded proximity probe belonging to the industry-standard 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System. It is primarily engineered for vibration, position, and speed monitoring on fluid-film bearing machinery like turbines and compressors.The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
Application:
Power Generation: Extensively used in conventional thermal, combined-cycle gas, nuclear, and hydroelectric power plants. It continuously monitors critical generators and steam/gas turbines supplying grid power.
Oil & Gas (Upstream & Downstream): Deployed on offshore drilling platforms, subsea production systems, refining facilities, and petrochemical processing plants.
Water & Wastewater Management: Installed on massive municipal engineering water distribution and treatment pumps.

Q:What targets can this sensor measure without re-calibration?
A:By default, Bently Nevada factory-calibrates the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor to AISI 4140 steel. Measuring other target metals (like stainless steel or aluminum) will alter the scale factor and requires special calibration from the factory.
Q:Can I mix this probe with older, non-XL 3300 components?
A:Yes. The 3300 XL 8 mm components are both electrically and physically interchangeable with older 3300-series 5 mm and 8 mm components. However, if you mix XL and non-XL hardware, the total loop performance defaults to the lower technical limits of the older system.
Q:How do I prevent cross-talk if installing multiple probes side-by-side?
A:Cross-talk occurs when two adjacent eddy-current fields overlap. For 8 mm probes, ensure a minimum physical separation distance of at least 40 mm (1.6 in) for axial measurements or 38 mm (1.5 in) for radial measurements to maintain a cross-talk interference level under 50 mV.
