Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330101-43-63-90-02-00 is a specific configuration of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer Probe, a standard industrial eddy-current sensor used widely for machinery vibration and position monitoring.The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.
Application:
Steam and Gas Turbines: Monitors rotor radial vibration (shaft dynamic motion) and axial thrust position (rotor displacement) to prevent catastrophic rotor-to-stator contact.
Centrifugal Compressors: Continually senses small shaft movements under massive pressures to identify oil whirl, rub, or imbalance before a shutdown occurs.
Turbo-Expanders: Monitors high-speed stability and process-driven thrust load variations.
High-Capacity Pumps: Monitors impeller shaft vibration and thrust bearing wear patterns.

Q:What target material is this system calibrated to out of the box?
A:By default, all Bently Nevada proximity sensors are factory-calibrated to AISI 4140 steel target surfaces. Testing alternative materials will alter your voltage scale factor and require special factory recalibration.
Q:Can I mix this probe with older, non-XL 3300 components?
A:By default, Bently Nevada 3300 XL Proximitor Sensors are factory-calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. If your target shaft or collar is made of a different material (like stainless steel or aluminum), the scale factor will shift, requiring custom calibration or a modified Proximitor.
Q:Do I need an extension cable for a 9.0-meter system length?
A:Yes. Because this probe's built-in total cable length option is 9.0 meters, it must be paired with a 1.0-meter extension cable to reach the standard 10-meter overall system requirement for the designated Proximitor Sensor. Conversely, 1-meter probe options connect directly to 9-meter extension cables, while standalone 1-meter systems skip the extension entirely.
