Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330101-00-15-10-01-05 is a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe primarily targeted at heavy rotating machinery in high-precision, safety-critical industrial applications. The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q:Can I mix 3300 XL components with older, non-XL 3300 series parts?
A:Yes, but with performance penalties. The XL components are physically and electrically interchangeable with non-XL 3300 5mm and 8mm parts. However, mixing them restricts overall system performance to non-XL standards.
Q:Does a 1.0-meter probe require an extension cable?
A:No. According to the manufacturer specifications, 1-meter systems connect directly to the Proximitor Sensor without an extension cable. Adding an extra cable will alter circuit resistance and ruin calibration.
Q:To what target material is this sensor calibrated by default?
A:The system is factory-calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. If your target shaft uses a different metal alloy, you must request custom calibration or apply correction factors.
