The 2711-B5A10 is an PanelView 550 Standard Operator Terminal. This operator terminal has a 5.5-inch display with embedded DeviceNet port and RS232 communication port. It has ten (10) Function keys and a Touchscreen operator interface.
The PanelView 550 series is an obsolete family of PanelView Standard operator Terminal one of these, the 2711-B5A10, is an AC-powered device which features, dual-input functionality, such as a touchscreen input and a keypad. The keypad on this unit has a numeric keypad and arrow keys, along with its 10-key function keypad, marked F1 through F10. These keys feature a domed-membrane effect and made of a stainless-steel frame. The touchscreen on the 2711-B5A10 also functions as the output display with a 5.5-inch diagonal length. This monochrome blue LCD screen has an expected operation of 1-million-press actuation, allowing for extensive use. The backlight in this module can stay active for around 100,000 hours before becoming unserviceable. The PanelBuilder32 software, which runs on the 2711-B5A10, is an easily-navigated software, often used on a personal computer as well.
