The 25B-D030N104 is a PowerFlex 525 Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). This drive is a compact, intelligent and programmable device that is capable of implementing a variety of control methods such as Volts per Hertz (V/Hz), Sensorless Vector Control (SVC), Closed loop velocity vector control, and Permanent Magnet motor control and the ability to perform controller-like functions as it comes with Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) control capability.

The 25B-D030N104 is ideally used for large AC motors for implementing standard motor control functionalities as well as implement speed control, start-up and shutdown protection and as well as energy saving measures. It also supports premiere integration wherein drive parameters may be accessed directly from a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) such as a CompactLogix or ControlLogix controller, allowing the drive to send and receive dynamic values and configuration in reference to the state of the PAC program. This helps the drive to change behavior and operation in real-time without the need of interfering the drive’s operation.

The 25B-D030N104 has varying output power. This depends on the duty operation of the drive which are 15.0 kW or 20.0 HP for normal and 11.0 kW or 15.0 HP for heavy-duty operation. Regardless of the operation, the output current is maintained at 30.0 Amperes.

The 25B-D030N104 also features the embedded EtherNet/IP port. The 25B-D030N104 supports seamless integration to the Logix environment and EtherNet/IP networks with an inbuilt EtherNet/IP interface. The 25B-D030N104 operates in environments with high ambient temperatures that range up to 70 degrees Celsius. The 25B-D030N104 also features a current derating and it comes with a control module fan. The 25B-D030N104 comes with permanent magnet motor control that improves energy efficiency.

The 25B-D030N104 features a safe torque-off function that is certified by the PLD/SIL2 Cat 3. The PowerFlex 525 drive comes with a modular design, offering innovative removable control including volts per hertz control, sensorless vector control, and also closed loop velocity vector control. The PowerFlex drives offer a compact footprint relative to their power range.
