The 2098-DSD-030 is part of the high-performance family of the Bulletin 2098 Ultra3000 Digital Servo Drives. It has an analog command and communication interface. It features AC input power, motor power, and passive shunt resistor connections and a motor power cable shield clamp at its front panel. Its 9-pin CN3 serial port connector, 15-pin CN2 motor feedback connector, and 44-pin CN1 user input/output connector are all female, D-sub types in high-density construction. Plus, it has logic power and seven-segment status indicators for easy monitoring and troubleshooting. The 2098-DSD-030 Analog Servo Drive has a COMMAND analog input with 14-bit A/D, ±10V rating, and ILIMIT analog input rated at 10-bit A/D, 0 to 10V. Its 8 bits analog output has specifications of ±10V, 2 mA max. It accepts single-ended, differential, and open collector input types but the differential is recommended. The 15A/30A 2098-DSD-030 Drive comes in a compact, space-saving package that weighs approximately 6.2 kg (13.6 lb). It comes with a nominal 100-240V rms single-phase AC input voltage with a frequency of 47-63 Hz. It features an internal shunt resistance rated at 35 Ohms . It has product dimensions of 3.6 x 2 x 0.8 x 9.6 inches (91.44 x 50.8 x 20.32 x 243.84 mm).

The 2098-DSD-030 is a Digital Servo Drive (DSD) from the Ultra 3000 system. This motion control system is part of the larger Kinetix Product range. This servo drive supports a variety of servo motors including the Kinetix MP series, specifically the MPL-A/B, MPF-A/B, and MPS-A/B servol motors. It may also be used to drive H-Series, F-Series, and Y-Series servo motors.

The 2098-DSD-030 operates at an input supply voltage of 100-240 Volts AC rms, 1-phase along an input frequency of 47-63 Hertz and input current of 28 Amperes (nominal) and maximum inrush current of 50 Amperes @ 230 Volts AC. Auxilliary input current includes 1.0 Ampere @ 115 VoltsAC, nominal; 0.5 Amperes @ 230 Volts AC, nominal; maximum inrush current of 47 Amperes @ 115 Volts AC; 95 maximum inrush current of 95 Amperes @ 230 Volts AC. This servo drive delivers a continuous output current of 15 Amperes and intermittent output power of 30 Amperes. It has a continuous output power of 1.5 Kilowatts at 115 Volts AC input and 3.0 Kilowatts at 230 Volts AC input.

The 2098-DSD-030 has one (1) RS-232 Serial interface that can be used for RS-232, Point-to-point connection, or RS-485, multi-drive communication. It may be connected to a PC with installed Ultra 3000 Programming Software. This connection enables users to conveniently configure and visualize the drive parameters for accurate, efficient, and faster configuration and commissioning period.

The 2098-DSD-030 can be connected to a ControlLogix controller via the 2090-U3xBB-DMxx Drive-mounted Breakout Board for I/O and Commands. For direct connection to the computer with the Ultraware software, the Serial interface cable with catalog number 2090-UXPC-D09xx may be used.
