Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 200150-17-05 is a general-purpose, case-mounted piezoelectric accelerometer engineered primarily for Balance of Plant (BOP) asset condition monitoring within harsh industrial environments. The 20015x Accelerometers are general purpose, wide frequency. The 200150 Accelerometer also operates with the Trendmaster 2000 system. The accelerometer interfaces with the 200100 Dual Acceleration to Velocity flexiTIM Module and the 89130-01 Acceleration-to-Velocity TIM (Transducer Interface Module), as well as the 1900/25 and 1900/27 monitors.

Q:Why does this model use a shear-geometry design?
A:The internal piezoelectric ceramic sensing element is arranged in a shear-geometry configuration. This specialized layout physically decouples the internal crystal from base strain, structural twisting, and rapid thermal transients, preventing false vibration signals.
Q:How do I connect the sensor, and what are the cabling rules?
A:The transducer features a top-mounted, 5-pin 1/2-20 threaded connector. It links via standard 200151 interface cables (4-conductor, 22 AWG with braided shielding). The connection provides an IP67 environmental seal. Avoid flexing or bending the interconnecting cables if ambient operating temperatures drop below -20°C (-4°F), as this can compromise the PVC outer jacket.
Q:What does a sudden drop in bias voltage mean?
A:The normal bias voltage for this sensor hovers around 2.5 VDC. A sudden drop close to 0 V usually points to a short circuit in the interconnecting cable or moisture ingress inside the 5-pin connection head. A jump up toward 5 V indicates an open circuit or broken conductor pin.
