Product Description:

The 190501-24-99-CN Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Its design specifically measures casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpm typical). The Velomitor CT Transducer can measure vibration amplitudes at these frequencies as well as the vibration frequencies generated by the fan motor and speed reducer.

Power Generation Plants: Tracks cooling tower and condenser fan vibration health to prevent structural collapses or sudden plant shutdowns

A:Yes, but with care. According to the Orbit 60 Dynamic Input Modules Datasheet, while standard Velomitors prefer Positive Transducer Input (PVT) modules, the 190501 Velomitor CT should be mapped to PAV modules unless power limits are explicitly verified.
Q:How important is mounting orientation?
A:Extremely. It must be carefully flush-mounted to the bearing housing or casing. Improper mounting heavily dampens frequency response or introduces false signals.

Q:What does the -99 option mean for replacement workflows?
A:Because option 99 dictates an integrated 32-foot cable, you must replace both the sensor body and its hardwired cable line up to the junction box at the same time
