Product Description:

The 190501-23-99-04 Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Its design specifically measures casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpm typical). The Velomitor CT Transducer can measure vibration amplitudes at these frequencies as well as the vibration frequencies generated by the fan motor and speed reducer.

Petrochemical & Oil Refining: Installed on critical heat-exchanger banks and processing unit cooling loops.
Chemical Processing Plants: Monitored via system racks like the Bently Nevada 3500 Series to keep hazardous vapors from matching with unmonitored mechanical heat or sparks.
Power Generation Facilities: Deployed on water-treatment and steam-condensing cooling tower systems to enforce machinery protection.
Cooling Tower Fan Assemblies: It explicitly measures vibration on fans running as low as 90 RPM (typically 100 to 300 RPM), detecting structural faults before they cause tower failure
