Product Description:

The 190501-15-99-CN Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Its design specifically measures casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpm typical). The Velomitor CT Transducer can measure vibration amplitudes at these frequencies as well as the vibration frequencies generated by the fan motor and speed reducer.

Q:Can I use standard Velomitor cables with this model?
A:Because this unit uses the 99 option (integrated cable), you do not need a separate interconnecting cable for the sensor head. If you need to extend the run up to its maximum capacity of 305 meters (1,000 feet), you must use Bently Nevada approved extension cabling and junction boxes to preserve signal integrity and hazardous area certifications.
Q:Which monitoring systems support the 190501?
A:It connects directly to the Bently Nevada 3500 Monitoring System via a 3500/70M Velocity Monitor or a 3500/42M Proximitor Seismic Monitor configured for velocity inputs. For newer Orbit 60 Systems, a PAV module is recommended.

Q:What is the proper mounting torque?
A:When installing the mounting stud, the transducer must be torqued to 4.5 N-m ± 0.6 N-m (40 in-lbf ± 5 in-lbf). Incorrect torque or a non-flat mounting surface will significantly degrade the low-frequency response and generate false vibration data.
