Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 190501-05-00-01 is a specialized, low-frequency Velomitor CT (Cooling Tower) Velocity Transducer used to track machinery casing vibration.The Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Its design specifically measures casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpm typical). The Velomitor CT Transducer can measure vibration amplitudes at these frequencies as well as the vibration frequencies generated by the fan motor and speed reducer.

Q:What monitoring systems are compatible with this transducer?
A:It interfaces directly with the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Machinery Protection System via compatible velocity input modules. It can also be integrated into legacy 3300 series monitors or connected to distributed control systems (DCS) through vibration transmitters.
Q:How should the device be oriented and mounted?
A:The transducer can be mounted in any physical orientation without affecting performance. Because the "-05" suffix omits a factory stud, you must supply your own mounting hardware or plate matching the internal base threads. Always torque the installation base to 4.5 N-m ± 0.6 N-m (40 in-lbf) to ensure accurate vibration transmission across the casing.

Q:How should this sensor be physically installed?
A:You must mount it firmly on the machine casing using the specified adhesive stud. Ensure the casing surface is perfectly clean and flat to avoid false low-frequency noise.
