The 1768-CNBR CompactLogix communication module is a ControlNet communication module. It is compatible with certain controllers from the CompactLogix series. The 1768-CNBR CompactLogix communication module is frequently used in redundancy control and media systems. It also supports deterministic data delivery, repeatable data delivery, and the high-speed transfer of time-sensitive data between controllers and I/O modules. The 1768-CNBR CompactLogix communication module is also known as a bridge module and it supports a ControlNet communication rate of 5 Mbps.
The 1768-CNBR compact Logix communication module by is a ControlNet redundant bridge communication module which uses the open network for real-time and high throughput applications. ControlNet combines I/O and peer-to-peer network for speedy performance and it uses RSLogix 5000 enterprise series software for easy configuration with the controller via the input, output, and status ports. The 1768-CNBR has a 5Mbps communication rate and can support up to 48 Logix communication connections. It has a maximum of 99 ControlNet nodes which draw 1.0 Amps current at 5.2 Volts DC
