Description

The Bently Nevada 330173-03-08-05-02-05 is a 3300 5 mm Proximity Probe designed for non-contact measurement of shaft vibration and shaft position in rotating machinery. It is used as one element of the 3300 5 mm Proximity Transducer System, together with a compatible 3300 XL extension cable and 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor. The complete transducer system provides an output voltage proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. The probe operates using eddy current sensing technology to monitor both dynamic vibration and static shaft position without contacting the rotating component. In addition to vibration and position measurement, the 3300 5 mm system is suitable for Keyphasor reference and speed measurement applications. The probe is intended for installations where the available mounting space is limited while maintaining the same linear measurement range as the 3300 XL 8 mm probe. The 330173-03-08-05-02-05 configuration is supplied with an M8 × 1 threaded probe, without armor, an unthreaded length option of 30 mm, an overall case length of 80 mm, a 0.5 m total cable length, a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector, and multiple agency approvals (CSA, ATEX, IECEx).
