Description

The BACHMANN AIO216 is a universal analog input/output module designed for the Bachmann M200 automation platform, providing 16 configurable analog channels in a single compact module. Each channel can be individually configured to process voltage inputs, current inputs, temperature sensors, or analog outputs, allowing a single module to accommodate a wide variety of measurement and control tasks while reducing hardware requirements. The module supports voltage ranges from ±10 V to ±10 mV, current signals of 0(4) to 20 mA, Pt100/Pt1000 sensors in 2-, 3-, or 4-wire configurations, and standard J, K, T, N, E, R, S, and B thermocouples. Analog outputs are available as ±10 V voltage or 0(4) to 20 mA current signals. With 16-bit input resolution, 14-bit output resolution, and a configurable filter adjustable from 4 kHz to 0.5 Hz on each channel, the module delivers precise signal acquisition and stable analog control for demanding industrial applications. To enhance operational reliability, the AIO216 incorporates overload, short-circuit, and external voltage protection on all outputs, together with configurable measuring range monitoring up to ±105%, diagnostic messages for overload, overtemperature, and supply undervoltage, and 500 V galvanic isolation from the control system. An optional ColdClimate version is also available for environments where condensation resistance is required.
