Description

The Woodward 8200-203 is a ProTech 203 Overspeed Protection System used for monitoring and protecting prime movers against overspeed conditions. The unit consists of three independent speed-sensing modules, each with its own power supply and processing circuit. The system receives speed signals from magnetic pickups, performs individual speed calculations, and uses a two-out-of-three voting structure for overspeed trip operation. The 8200-203 is a de-energize-to-trip model with a 120 Vac/dc power supply input. Each sensing unit operates independently to monitor prime mover speed and provides trip relay outputs when an overspeed condition is detected. The system includes front-panel LED indicators, digital displays, remote reset functions, key lock operation, and built-in test functions for system monitoring and maintenance.
