Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 9200-01-01-10-00 is a two-wire moving-coil Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer to measure absolute casing vibration on industrial machinery. It is paired with the 9571-23 standard interconnect cable, which is a 23-foot long, 2-conductor twisted, shielded 22 AWG cable used to transmit the sensor’s signal to a 3300 or 3500 monitoring system.Bently Nevada Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systems are designed to measure absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The two-wire systems consist of a transducer and appropriate cable. The Seismoprobe family of velocity transducers is a two-wire design that uses moving-coil technology. It provides a voltage output directly proportional to the transducer's vibration velocity.
Application:
Self-Powered: The internal coil moving through a magnetic field natively produces an AC voltage output proportional to velocity without requiring external loop power.
Shock-Insensitive: It is inherently less sensitive to sudden mechanical impacts or transient casing excitation, avoiding signal "saturation" issues common in electronic accelerometers.
Power Generation & Utilities: Monitoring of steam and gas turbine casings.Casing vibration tracking on large hydroelectric or thermoelectric generators.Structural vibration tracking on large industrial heat exchangers and cooling tower fans.

A:No. Because this specific unit is configured with option -01 (0° ±2.5°), it is mechanically optimized strictly for horizontal mounting. Installing a horizontal moving-coil sensor vertically will result in severe internal binding, loss of accuracy, or eventual physical damage to the spring-suspended coil mechanism.
