The Bently Nevada 330910-00-12-05-01-CN is an eddy-current proximity probe from the 3300 XL NSv series. It is for critical machinery monitoring in tightly constrained environments where small shafts or restricted installation profiles prevent the use of standard 5 mm or 8 mm sensors. The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System design allows it to replace both the 3300 RAM Transducer Systems and the 3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducer System.

Q:Are these probes pressure tested at the factory?

A:No. Bently Nevada does not perform pressure or sealing tests on standard probes prior to shipment. If your application requires a high-pressure process barrier seal, you must request custom design testing or an application-specific modification through an authorized supplier.
Q:Can it be used on shafts smaller than 13 mm?
A:Yes, but you must expect scale factor shifts. For shafts under 13 mm (0.5 inches) in diameter, the target cross-section affects the magnetic field eddy currents. You must decrease the operating gap to mitigate scaling errors.

Q:Is this probe backwards compatible with older hardware?
A:Yes. The 3300 NSv probe is mechanically and electrically interchangeable with older Bently Nevada 3300 RAM probes. However, if you are upgrading from legacy 3000-series or 7000-series 190 systems, you must replace the entire assembly, including the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor together.
