Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330910-00-06-05-01-CN is a 3300 NSv proximity probe for non-contact shaft vibration and displacement monitoring in compact industrial rotating machinery. It features tight physical clearance parameters designed for narrow installation profiles.The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada’s previous
3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable.
Application:
Centrifugal Air Compressors: Used to monitor radial vibration and fluid-filmed bearing displacement in small-scale plant air compressors.
Refrigeration Compressors: Deployed within chiller systems and process cooling compressors where chemical resistance to refrigerants is required.
Process Gas Compressors: Installed inside confined gas machinery environments that present severe counterbore or tight side-view spacing restrictions.
High-Speed Pumps and Fans: Keeps track of shaft centerline position, thrust movement, and dynamic vibration profiles under tight installation angles.

Q:Is this probe safe for continuous submersion in oil?
A:Yes. “The probe tip and case are hermetically sealed and IP68 rated, making them suitable for continuous operation in bearing oil environments.” according to Maxwell PLC. The case is built from durable AISI 304 stainless steel, and the tip uses a specialized polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) material.
Q:Can this probe be connected directly to a standard 3300 XL Proximitor?
A:No. “The NSv system uses different electrical tuning. You must pair the 330910 probe with an NSv-specific extension cable and an NSv Proximitor to maintain system accuracy.” according to Maxwell PLC.
Q:What makes the "NSv" series different from standard 5 mm or 8 mm probes?
A:The Narrow Side-view (NSv) series is explicitly engineered for confined target geometry, such as small target surfaces under 15 mm or shaft diameters smaller than 51 mm. It provides a narrow cross-sectional magnetic field, which prevents side-view or counterbore interference from nearby metal structures.
