Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330709-000-050-50-02-00 is an industrial-grade 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe featuring an M16 x 1.5 metric thread and an integrated 5.0-meter cable.The 3300 XL 11 mm probe comes in varying probe case configurations, including armored
and unarmored ½-20, 5⁄8 -18, M14 X 1.5 and M16 X 1.5 probe threads. The reverse mount 3300 XL 11 mm probe comes standard with either 3⁄8-24 or M10 X 1 threads. All components of the transducer system have gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors. ClickLoc connectors lock into place, preventing the connection from becoming loose.
Application:
Keyphasor and Speed Measurements: Registers a once-per-turn pulse from a shaft notch or keyway to provide phase timing information for advanced machinery diagnostics and rotational speed tracking.
Thrust (Axial) Position Tracking: Measures the longitudinal float of the shaft. It acts as a safety trip mechanism to prevent internal rotating assemblies from colliding with stationary casings or thrust pads.
Ramp Differential Expansion: Used extensively on large steam turbines to track the variance in expansion rates between the turbine rotor and its outer casing during thermal startup and shutdown cycles
Rod Position and Drop Monitoring: Installed on heavy reciprocating compressors to monitor piston rod orientation and wear on the rider bands, protecting the cylinder liners from damage.

Q:Can this probe be used under fluid pressure?
A:Yes, but with limits. The standard probe features a seal against moisture and fluids. However, the cold pressure-seal rating drops to a minimum threshold of -34°C. Additionally, highly acidic or alkaline liquids can erode the tip and cause leaks.
Q:What target material is required for accurate calibration?
A:The 3300 XL 11 mm system is calibrated by default using a 31 mm (1.2 in) diameter or larger AISI 4140 steel target. Utilizing different metals or smaller target sizes will compromise measurement accuracy unless the matching Proximitor sensor is custom-calibrated for that targe
Q:Does this 5-meter probe require an extension cable?
A:No. Because the total length option is 50 (5.0 meters), this probe is designed to connect directly to a 5-meter Baker Hughes Bently Nevada Proximitor Sensor without an intermediate extension cable. Adding an extension cable to a 5m probe would alter the system's electrical length and ruin calibration accuracy.
