Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330706-005-046-10-02-CN is a 3300 XL 11 mm Reverse Mount Proximity Probe designed for critical machinery condition monitoring. This eddy-current sensor precisely measures non-contacting vibration, displacement, and shaft positioning in heavy-duty industrial rotating hardware.The 3300 XL 11 mm Proximitor Sensor is designed to replace the 7200-series 11 mm and 14 mm Transducer Systems. When upgrading from the 7200-series system to the 3300 XL 11 mm system, every component must be replaced with 3300 XL 11 mm components. In addition, the monitoring system must be updated. If using a 3500 Monitoring System, an updated version of the configuration software that lists the 3300 XL 11 mm Transducer System as a compatible option is required.

Steam and Gas Turbines: Monitors high-speed rotor shaft radial vibration, thermal expansion, and axial displacement to prevent catastrophic blade or casing contact.
Hydroelectric Turbines: Measures lower frequency runner vibrations, alignment, and guide bearing shaft deflections.
Generators and Exciters: Tracks rotor dynamics under severe electromagnetic loads.
Turboexpanders: Measures precise axial thrust positioning under intense pressure and extreme thermal fluctuations.

Q:What is the advantage of a "Reverse Mount" probe?
A:Standard probes are threaded from the outside of the machine housing. Reverse mount probes are designed to be installed from the inside of a specialized probe housing or sleeve assembly. This prevents the probe body from rotating while twisting the external hardware, protecting the integrated cable from twisting or fraying.
Q:Can I use this 11 mm probe with a standard 8 mm Proximitor sensor?
A:No. The 11 mm probe has a vastly different electrical profile and sensing range compared to 8 mm components. It requires a matched 3300 XL 11 mm Proximitor Sensor (such as the 330780 series) to deliver the proper scale factor.
Q:How do I choose the right extension cable length?
A:The combined length of your probe and extension cable must match the total system length expected by your Proximitor sensor. Because this probe has a 1.0-meter integrated cable, you must use an 8.0-meter extension cable if you are connecting to a standard 9.0-meter Proximitor system.
