Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330704-000-080-50-12-00 is an industry-standard 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe for critical machinery health monitoring and condition-based predictive maintenance. The 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System has a 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) output for non-contacting vibration and displacement measurements on fluid film bearing machines. The large 11 mm tip enables this transducer system to have a longer linear range compared to our standard 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System.

Power Generation: Used extensively on large steam and gas turbines, as well as generators, to safely monitor shaft position changes during high-temperature thermal expansion or load shifts.
Oil & Gas (Upstream & Downstream): Essential for heavy-duty centrifugal compressors, expanders, and multiphase pumps operating in harsh extraction or refining environments.
Petrochemical & Chemical Refining: Deployed on critical process machinery and high-speed mixers where hazardous materials require continuous asset health tracking

Q:What is the linear range of this 11 mm probe?
A:The 3300 XL 11 mm sensor system offers a standard linear range of 4.0 mm (160 mils). Its extended scale begins at a probe gap of approximately 0.5 mm (20 mils) and remains highly accurate up to 4.5 mm (180 mils). This makes it superior to 5 mm or 8 mm variations when tracking high-clearance or larger industrial machinery shafts.
Q:Does this probe require a power supply?
A:No, proximity probes are passive components. Power is instead delivered directly by the matching Bently Nevada Proximitor Sensor which operates on a negative DC voltage range between -17.5 Vdc and -26 Vdc.
Q:Is the probe tip submersible?
A:While the probe body can withstand highly humid conditions up to 100% condensing relative humidity, it is not rated for continuous submersion in aggressive chemical solutions. Highly acidic or alkaline liquids can corrode the tip's epoxy housing, risking internal core leakage.
